I still do not understand why Katy has found so much success. I will admit that she did shine with “Teenage Dream” and “E.T.” is pretty good as well. Aside from those two I do not understand her overall appeal. She’s average at best in my opinion, but the public seems to disagree with me.
Teenage Dream is now one of the 9 albums in history to produce 4 number 1 singles. The last album to do so was Confessions by Usher.
“E.T.” ends the six week reign of “Born This Way” which falls to number 4. Rihanna is competing for the top spot as her single “S&M” advances to number 2. All singles from her album LOUD have been in the top 2. Cee Lo falls to number 3 with “Forget You” and The Black Eyed Peas sit at number 5 with “Just Can’t Get Enough.”
Wiz Khalifa blast onto the chart with “No Sleep”. The song debuts at number 6 off of strong digital sales. Wiz released his debut album Rolling Papers this week, so expect a handful of his songs to debut on the chart next week.
Chris Brown advances one spot to number 7 with “Look At Me Now.” The singer has much to celebrate as his fourth album F.A.M.E. debuts at number 1 with week. P!nk falls to number 8 with “F*cking Perfect” and Jeremih move up to 9 with “Down On Me”.
Jennifer Lopez re-enters the top 10 with “On the Floor.” The track has spent 4 of its 5 weeks on the chart in the top 10. The song is also advancing on the radio finally up 24%.
As always head over to Billboard and see where you favorites fall this week.
